You're a true inspiration Dr. Smith!!
Thank you so much!!
@@EvolvingMedic if there is anything I can help you with, let me know! I'm still applying for psych this year while getting more experience.. taking the last day of step 3 on Friday, Lord willing.
@@dyananasif1097thanks so much for reaching out! I’m right there with you and taking day 2 of step 3 tomorrow! 🙏🏽 Hopefully it goes well for us and will be the last USMLE exam ever!
@@EvolvingMedic that's fantastic! You'll do GREAT.. you're a genius and have worked so hard! God will guide you for those questions you may be unsure about.
Yo, I put this tip into play a few months back and it has worked wonders. I appreciate the tip. 👊🏾
Yessir!! So happy it’s been effective for you too!
Do you have a book list? I see you reading all these great books and learning. I would love to do the same!!
I need to update my book list on my amazon storefront! I’ll do that as soon as possible! Currently reading Mastery by Robert Greene though! And it’s great!
Congratulations for the wonderful score 😊
How much time did you take to go through your uw and review a block?
🔥 Great story bro!
Thank you so much bro!!

I love this reframe, Doc. I usually celebrate my classmates, but I never thought about applying that toward my imposter syndrome.
Thanks! I’m glad this video helped you think about it a bit differently!
Love how you approach things JR!
Thank you so much! Much of my motivation comes from you all!
I completed my tasks yesterday, but they did not carry over to today. I had the recur interval and everything you had in the video they just do not carry over to the next day.
What kind of glasses are those? They look really good
Thank you! These were just blue light glasses that I got off Amazon lol

I love your story, man. You've come such a long way. It's incredible!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽
Hey there While looking at answers why I am unable to see links of first aid and sketchy
Please where is the link to the community
Hello! Here it is!: www.evolvingmedic.com/teach-as-you-learn
Hi!! Flashcards are really useful and have helped me a lot during college. the only problem is the time I spend making the flashcards. Is there a platform that already has ready-made flashcards by category/speciality?
Absolutely! As discussed in this video, premade Anki decks are amazing and the “Anking” deck has everything a med student would ever need
Yeah but Jobs was notoriously an asshole
What it has to do with this?
Very Very True 👍
Very very 👍
Great reminder 👍
Steve Jobs had no integrity lmao love the channel though 🔥
I think he showed us both things we should and shouldn’t do lol. But I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel!
Everything people like about Steve Jobs was stolen from either Steve Wozniak (the technical know-how) or Dieter Rams (the design language, especially going into the iPod era.) Behind every great man iss a greater marketing department actively working to mythologize them and countless unnamed nobodies who actually did the work.
Guy has a crush on a businessman that had to get bailed out by Microsoft. Lol
I love this! 👏
I’m glad this story resonated with you as much as it did with me!
Bro turned into the main character with those words for a sec💀
I just graduated high school… I plan on becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon in the future years of my life. Just a question….how many hours did you study a day as a premed in college to get a 4.0 or a really good gpa ?
If I knew our workouts from Red Rocks would end up in your UA-cam videos…I would’ve most definitely tried harder 😂
You was bodying it though! 😂
I'm a student looking to start research and this was a great video to introduce me to the process of research. Thank you!
I’m so happy you found it helpful!
thanks
My pleasure!
Great video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her
i have been in such a situation. i love my woman and unfortunately we separated about two years ago, but i could not let her go, so i had to do all i could to get her back, i had to seek the help of a spiritual adviser who helped me bring her back, now we are back together, and i must say i am enjoying every moment.
wow, please how did you get a spiritual adviser, and how do i reach him?
Dr Ben Spell Castle is the advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment
you can look his name up online and you will find all you need.
Thanks for sharing. I curiously searched for his full name and his website popped up after scrolling a bit.
JR! I've been following your channel since my first year of medical school and now I'm almost about to take step 2! You have been such an inspiration, thank you so much for all that you do and for sharing your story with us!
Thank you so much for your continued support and this incredibly encouraging message!! Good luck on step 2! 🙏🏽
Bro, you are so awesome and inspiring man. I'm grateful God speaks through you.
Thank you so much for this! I try to be the best vessel I can be! 🙏🏽
I wanna be an orthopedic surgeon because I had a lot of injuries from sports, same with you 😂 great and inspiring story 💪💪
There’s a lot of us in the field for sure!! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Amazing yaaas🥳 God gets the credit. Spill the secret!
Yes He does!! 🙏🏽 This video shares any “secrets” I have!
Been watching you since my Pre-Med journey (currently 2 years into medical school) and this gave me chills 💙 so happy for you and excited to have such a humble, kind person becoming an Ortho bro😂🗣️ congrats !!!
Thank you so much!! You being a day 1 supporter means the world! 🙏🏽
this was really inspiring to me as someone with their first mcat attempt in the near future! your speech was engaging and articulate and perfectly encapsulates the mindset needed for any daunting exam, not just the mcat. thank you for continuously motivating all the pre-meds out here!!
I’m so happy you found this speech inspiring! Thank you for this encouraging message! 🙏🏽
What an excellent overview of a premed. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. ❤
I’m so happy you enjoyed this video!
JR, fantastic speech! As an educator I appreciate hearing the journey of successful young people. Keep walking by faith and the best is yet to come.
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏽
Bro the editing is getting lit!!!
Appreciate you bro!!
Definitely an inspiration!
Thank you so much! Honored to share my story with you all! 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I had a passion for soccer. Tore both of my ACLs and medial menisci in high school and medical school. Doctors kept telling me that I should not play anymore. I kept playing till my 4th surgery when my dr finally said that I had a risk of being on a wheelchair for life if I dont stop. I went into deep depression in medical school after that. Contemplated suicide. Gathered just enough energy to seek therapy. Somehow made it out of medical school and a one year internship where i was working 50 hours/week. For post grad, I chose usmle just for the reason its the hardest medical exam. Solely for this reason. I have just passed my step 1 and am currently preparing for step 2 now. Your videos have helped me navigate this stressful process and have helped me so much
Thank you so much for the courage to share your amazing story! I’m honored that my videos have been a part of your journey thus far! 🙏🏽
It's always cool to hear about people's backgrounds and journeys to medicine. Keep up the good work!
Stories bring us together! Thanks so much!! 🙏🏽
That's wonferful Dr. Smith! I was also in an MVA when I was 4. I have an incomplete SCI with multiple spinal issues but keep trusting the Lord day by day .. thank you for the encouragement!!! God is good!
Thank you so much for sharing your story! That trust in the Lord will get us further than we could have ever imagined! Praying that every day is a little better than the last! 🙏🏽
@@EvolvingMedic Amen! Do you have an area within ortho that you're interested in? I'm still applying for psych ..
@@dyananasif1097Yeah! I’ll be pursuing sports medicine!
Please make a video on apps that teach you medical courses aside from lecturio.
I highly recommend Sketchy Medical and Boards and Beyond!
Nice speak. As soon as you said what helped you, I immediately thought of David Goggin. Also, he was a Navy Seal and Army ranger not a Marine. I'm pretty sure if he had the time, he would have been that too.
Thank you for this correction! I’m sure he would’ve! Lol
This is just the start for you bro. Please keep the LORD as the corner stone of your life!
Will do!!! Thank you so much! 🙏🏽
This is awesome in so many ways! I originally started watching your channel regarding Anki and studying - love your story and your focus - thanks for sharing this!
Thank you so much!! I’m glad my videos have been helpful for you! 🙏🏽
do you have any tips for audio learners, visaul learners ?
I would recommend just leaning into things like videos and podcasts to play to your strengths rather than trying to force yourself to read textbooks or other things that are less effective for you
